Syrian Army dismantles terrorist strongholds in Aleppo

DAMASCUS, Feb. 11 (MNA) – After taking the town of Kafin, Syrian Army units are moving towards Tal Rifaat, one of the biggest concentration points of the terrorist group al-Nusra Front in the northern province of Aleppo.

According to military reports even residents of the town are facing terrorists, who are afraid of a widespread uprising.
Reports say that the inhabitants of the town are calling for a negotiation to give in Tal Rifaat without fighting and avoid destruction and victims, while the leaders of Al-Nusra Front insist in confronting Syrian troops.

However, according to data gathered from armed groups there are contradictions. One of their leaders, Abu Mohammed, is in favor of a truce, even with the ISIL. Al-Nusra and the ISIL have fought each other in recent weeks at various locations in the province of Aleppo, located 350 kilometers north of Damascus. Across the region, from Aleppo, the capital of that province to the nearby border with Turkey, the main supply lines and support of these groups were cut by the army offensive. The latest army reports say that in the recent fights, the terrorists have suffered dozens of casualties as well as the destruction of armored vehicles and transport.
